some astute observer (like Jason) will probably remember that yesterday the snow started seriously melting so I couldn't possibly have taken this photo today. Right you are, Sherlock.
The photo was taken Sunday. The photoshopping was done next week using a book I bought tomorrow. The book is teaching me how to sharpen an image without degrading it using inverted layers, blend recipes and high pass. Cornfused? Me too.
With just a little over a week to go I'm reconsidering this picture a day idea as it becomes more of a burdensome conceit than a valuable exercise. I'm thinking I want a new blog in the new year that's more arty and less farty. More beauty with less whining. Pictures a week? I haven't decided yet.
One thing is deeply troubling me -- I think I've decided I want to be an artist when I grow up and I'm not grown up enough yet to be one.
You make a bad line you erase it and no one knows but you. Or the erasure itself becomes an elegant trail of the humanness of your working. Not many other things in life invite let alone celebrate humanness, and I am very very human.
