Letting the world in

 

Today was a beautiful warm day.  I spent it trimming down all the shrubs in front of the house and clearing out the bottom of this old spruce so I could see out of the house and the world could come in.

I also cleaned out most of the gardens and put the yard to bed for the winter. 
Except for the leaves.
ugh.  The leaves.
